It was 2 years ago when we were looking for kindergarten for our son. I never thought that it was going to be so difficult. After an intense search we decided on a governmental kindergarten. To begin with it went well. Then the problems started. First we found out our son was being physically punished. We spoke to the teachers but it was denied. On many occasions when I was paying a surprise visit I would find him in front of the TV – watching meaningless violent cartoons. We finally decided to use a private kindergarten. It was not even 2 weeks later when we were called to the director’s office and were told about his bad behavior. Knowing he would not misbehave without a reason, I asked how often were the kids playing outside. To my horror I found out – not at all!!! (Although the kindergarten was set in an apartment, we were promised the kids will be playing outside on regular basis). So for 2 weeks from 9.00 to 5.00 they were locked in a “private kindergarten” in a 2 bed apartment… So we decided to emphasize on his education ourselves. We knew that from age 2 to 6 are the Golden years for learning and brain development and must not be wasted. Kian is 4 ½ years old now and speaks comfortably 3 languages. He is a keen piano student, confident horse jockey and excited new swimmer. For those who like to think of their child as a genius, we think that our son is a normal healthy and happy boy who has been given the opportunity to learn. He simply has had a good early start which will help him throughout his life. We noticed many parents like us who like their child to learn and develop where teachers and students are happy, where there is space to play and run. A place that can teach them English language and will not cost a fortune.

This is why we started the "Bratscool" ®. Baring in mind the national and local problem with places in the kindergartens and schools, as well as the 50 years old worn off educational system in Bulgaria and our passion for children’s good start in life, it was simply a natural choice to start the project. We want every child to have the same opportunity. Originally the school was our home. It was a decision that did not take long to make. "Bratscool" ® is the first of its kind to offer a unique opportunity to a limited number of children.

We hope to expand this idea to a large school.
